Sunday Matinee: National Geographic documentary “The Miracle of life”

August 31, 2008 · Leave a Comment

The question of when a human receives its soul is a religious question.

The question of when a human baby should get basic human rights is a political question.

The question of when human life begins is a scientific question and the answer is conception. According to science, not politics, not religion, life begins at conception.

Take a look at this National Geographic Video to see all the stages of development Barack Obama does not consider human enough to protect.

Joe Biden Gets the Job

Joe Biden Gets the Job

What do Democrats call someone who was adamantly against the first Gulf war, but who was adamantly for the second Gulf war, who now admits that voting against the first Gulf war was a mistake but that voting for the second Gulf war was a bigger mistake?  Yet adamantly supported the surge to win in Iraq right up to the point when the surge happened– at which point he became adamantly opposed to the surge even as the surge’s success had become abundantly clear?

An expert.

Sunday Matinee: Double Feature Starring Joe Biden

August 24, 2008 · 2 Comments

Playing gotcha politics is too easy takes gritty streetwise investigative skills in this YouTube era.  Here is that campaign ad from 1988 where Biden warns us the presidency is no place to learn on the job, promises to reestablish America’s leader status (status Reagan apparently squandered away), promises to fight oppression, brutality, and the abuse of human dignity around the world.  (If only there was a clip of him condemning the use of hair plugs…)

Note the precious bit about the poor disillusioned 3rd world– (more…)

For I plagiarize too!
These lies make my hair-plugs turn gray.”

Obama doesn’t know when life begins, supports killing babies born alive just in case they aren’t.

August 21, 2008 · 2 Comments

Just the facts:

  • Obama is “absolutely convinced… there is a moral and ethical content to [abortion].”
  • Obama is against parental notification for a minor to get an abortion.
  • He has opposed medically assisting in any way a child who has survived an abortion.
  • He voted against such life saving methods 3 times.
  • Supports killing a child at all stages of development.
  • Obama is not sure when a baby should get human rights.
  • Obama is “absolutely convinced… there is a moral and eth”–Oh, I listed that one already.

Pets You Can Train to Talk

Pets You Can Train to Talk

Complaining about the bias of tv correspondents at this point is a little like pointing out Chicken McNuggets taste more like sponges and rubber than chicken.  It’s the flavor we keep coming back for.  I don’t care, except to note that Andrea Mitchell is vying to win the coveted Chris Matthew’s Shivery Leg Award for Journalistic Objectivity by using her years of experience to report the news exactly the way Obama tells it to her.

Click the Keep reading to see Andrea at her professional best, asserting the Obama accusation McCain would soon be attacking him for not “look[ing] like those other presidents on the dollar bills” was not an attempt to paint McCain as a racist, but Obama playing the self-deprecating humor card.

Memory Hole: Barak Obama is squeamish

Other Types of Violence  Other Types of Violence

Obama gave one of his “important speeches” right after the VT shootings where he literally compared the murder of 32 people to outsourcing jobs, Don Imus’ shtick, failing to realize we are all connected, and working at McDonald’s.  It was similar to the important “other kinds of  walls speech” he gave in Germany but not so well received.

I thought I’d bring this up after his fairly genial appearance in front of Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church where he might have left the impression that he had some scruples about abortion.  He doesn’t.  He is not only a champion of late-term procedures, he has even evolved enough to defend the mores-breaking post-term abortion as well.
